Nice animation but they are very Russophile. In Poland (which was till 1918 partitioned between Russia, Prussia and Austro-Hungarian Empore) there were not cities like Ivangorod or Novogeorgievsk! This is completely false. Again tjere is not Dvinsk but Dyneburg. You shoul rethink of your prorussian style of the geographic names!!!

battle of Shanghai was not mistake on strategy but fight on purpose for long time because there is foreigner and media so the world would know what was happening there. However,Japan has aircraft carriers and battleships next to Shanghai while our Chinese solders were only infantry...The casualty is unimmaginable for a war like this which last a few months...I cry everytime when reading and watching this part of war. Almost all the elite units from Chinese Natinonalist army sacrified here, while CCP army was developing in the far west of China....😂

Bakhmut was the bloodiest battle of modern war. Ukraine had great advantage after their success in Lyman. Prigozhin was a strong leader, with him in Bakhmut, soldiers fought to every bit of strength to advance for months. Ukraine took heavy losses, we had a complete mortar and artillery advantage while Ukraine had a manpower, intelligence and equipment advantage. If you ask me the turning point of this war, that is Soledar. Thats where we took heavy losses. Bakhmut was a literal Stalingrad. Prigozhin thought to advance from flanks and cut of Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasivyar. It was not due to manpower issues, but it was due to ammunition. The high command didn't want us to go on due to the intel we received that Ukraine planning for summer counter offensive and we need to be prepared. That is why Prigozhin had to scrap the plan of encircling those 2 cities and went for limited goals like Bakhmut. Also even if we went on encircling Chasivyar and Ivanivske with limited stock, that would cost us more troops and time, by then counter offensive will begin, we would have been so exhausted that Ukraine could push us off from the flanks and cut off significant troops near Bakhmut. Which you had indeed witnessed Ukraine during summer offensive of 2023 went to flank Bakhmut but was stopped. Thats why instead of advancing more we put up defensive near Bakhmut. After the Ukraine summer counteroffensive it was our turn. Now you can see Ukraine is slowly pushed back from Bakhmut flanks and recently Ivanivske was taken, getting closer to Chasivyar.

Also left out Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation when Soviet Red Army liberated Inner Mongolia, Manchuria and northern Korea from Japanese occupation, area same as western Europe in eleven days. Also persuaded Japan that future resistance was pointless and Japan surrendered to United States

    • @taoliu3949

They did not liberate Manchuria in 11 days. Japan surrendered 5 days after the USSR invaded while the IJA was still fighting the USSR. Japan didn't attack the USSR because they were "scared". They didn't attack the USSR because they were never in the position to. Germany never notified Japan of their plans and Japan was caught by surprise. Japan was in the middle of their war in China and building up troops for a USSR invasion takes time. Western sanctions also shifted Japanese Strategic Plans to invading southeast Asia, and once they began losing the Pacific War invading the USSR became a pipe dream.

@@taoliu3949 Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation started on 9 August 1945. By 20 August 1945, 11 days later, the occupier, Japan, had lost control of Manchuria.so seems to me that Soviet Union liberated it from Japanese occupation and prevented the United States from occupying Manchuria and northern Korea using re-purposed Japanese troops as the British did in Vietnam to allow the French to re-occupy Vietnam. As for Japan not attacking Soviet Union, Openration Barbarossa launched on Sunday, 22 June 1945. Japanese ttack on Pearl Harbour launched on 7 December, 1941. Japan had more than five months to find out what Germany was up to and co-ordinate its actions with Germany at least preventing Stalin from moving 18 divisions, 1,700 tanks and 1,500 aircraft from Siberia to the defence of Moscow because Stalin learnt that Japan had no plans to attack the USSR in the near future. Japanese. Barbarossa failed for other reasons but Japan's failure to co-ordinate with the Nazis allowed the United States to enter the war and caused Adolf Hitler to make his biggest mistake, declaring war on the United States and also triggered the most murderous phase of his final solution to the Germany's Jewish problem If the Soviets could invade Manchuria from Soviet territory then Japan should have been able to invade Soviet territory from Manchuria. The Japanese didn't because they knew the Red Army would defeated them if the Japanese tried it.

@@stephenoliver1379Japan notified the Allies their intent to surrender AUG 14, 5 days after the USSR invasion of Manchuria. They "lost control" because they surrendered, not because the IJA was destroyed (it was still about 90% intact when Japan decided to surrender). USSR occupation of Manchuria and Korea was already agreed to during Potsdam months prior. Likewise same with the British/Chinese occupation of Vietnam after Japan's surrender. Operation Barbarossa was 1941, not 1945. That meant Japan had about 5 months to mobilize, deploy troops, commence and conclude the initial phase of the war before Winter sets in which is an extremely short timetable. Not to mention, the USSR never reduced their troops in the Far East, so it's not like it was going to be any easier for Japan than otherwise either. Increasing tensions with the west shifted Japanese strategic focus to the south, and ultimately killed any plans to invade the USSR. Japan didn't try because the timing was not right and did not have the resources to fight a concurrent war with the USSR and the Allies.

@@stephenoliver1379Men and Material was transferred to the West, but additional troops were also mobilized and garrisoned in the Far East. On 1 JUN 1941 the Far East Front and Transbaikal MD totalled 650k troops. By DEC 20 manpower levels increased to 1.1M personnel. On the otherhand, Japan was only able to increase their troop levels to 760k troops. You stated Japan lost control of Manchuria, which was simply untrue as of AUG 14. The IJA was still largely intact and fighting the USSR until AUG 17 when they were ordered to surrender. Yes, really. China occupied Northern Vietnam prior to handing it back to the French when Japan surrendered. See General Order 1, it spells out exactly who was in charge of relieving Japanese forces in each region. France wasn't exactly in the position to reoccupy Vietnam in 1945.

Japan did not "invade Mongolia". Glory seeking IJA officers created an "incident" which resulted in a skirmish between the two sides. Japan's decision to strike south came about from deteriorating relations with the West. Plans were drawn up to invade USSR after Barbarossa, but the timing was not right and deteriorating situation in the Pacific meant it was not feasible.
